Our district has a digital portfolio initiative & students are adding digital artifacts to their Google App "backpack" that show examples of their work as a Productive Collaborator, Effective Communicator, Emerging Innovator, & Culturally Competent Citizen. We currently only have 3 desktops in our classroom for all 24-28 students to share. An iPad would help students take ownership of their work by allowing them to take pictures & videos to upload to their digital backpack. Students will also be able to use Google App to collaborate with their peers on projects. Students will also be able to use the iPad to do research & ask SIRI questions to learn more about their community & other cultures.
