I have chosen instruments that will be easily accessible to all students to be able to play and enjoy. I have also chosen some games that will be able to reinforce what the students have learned in a fun and memorable way. These materials will place more instruments and fun activities in the hands of deserving students who have struggled so much in the last year due to Hurricane Harvey. My students will use the percussion instruments to learn and practice rhythms. The games will be used to reinforce concepts that they have already learned in a fun and memorable way. The requested items will be used to make STEM to STEAM connections through music concepts and objective related to the science of sound and related to mathematics in relation to rhythm and note values.
