My classroom needs cooking, sewing and cleaning inventory to increase the life skills that can be taught to my students. We make one meal and some snacks each month. I bring most of the kitchen supplies from my home for my students to use. My students are involved in the cooking activities from planning to clean-up. I could teach my students more cooking skills if we had an Instant Pot, Accessories and cookbook. Time is often short and this would help us cook quick and nutritious meals. We also need a rolling cart to move our cooking supplies from our classroom to the kitchen. This cart would also be a good place to store cooking supplies on. We need a classroom knife set so students can learn how to properly use knives. An infrared burner would be beneficial as we often cook in our classroom and this would help us have more options to teach students how to use small appliances. Every year my students complete a variety of craft projects and they always complete one sewing project. Last year each student made a pillow case. It would be nice to have a classroom sewing machine so I would not need to bring my sewing machine from home. This way the sewing machine would be readily available in the classroom and we could do more sewing projects. We eat lunch in the classroom and it would be helpful to have a classroom vacuum for students to learn the proper way to use a vacuum and to clean up after themselves.
