I am hoping to get three Chromebooks for my Science classes of 30. While this is a small goal, it's three more than what I have now and I am hoping each year to add to my collection so that we can continue to infuse technology in the Science classroom. We will use these for sharing experimental data, working collaboratively on lab reports, searching climatological data, audio reading of the Science book (support for my lower readers and those not proficient at English), and working on Science simulations via Explore Learning. Our textbook has an online audio component. Having access to more computers will help my lower readers utilize this awesome resource. Some of my students struggle with English and I often have to have them pair up to listen to the book. As you can imagine, this can create issues when children read at different speeds and want to be in control of their own pace.
