The students of today are quick-thinking, creative, and curious. My goal for this project is to provide them with a place and the tools to explore problem solving using technology like the Raspberry Pi computer, physical materials like cardboard and fabric, actual tools like hammers and drills, and their imaginations. By creating a maker space in my classroom, I hope to get all my students interested in the creative process, not just students who would normally take coding and robotics classes. Technology and tools have applications in every subject, and I hope to incorporate more project based learning in every class I teach. Students in junior high are makers at heart - I want to provide them the tools and means to create something amazing!
