Children learn best through exploring and using their sense. Our students are all developmentally delayed and have special needs. Our program just opened a year ago so we are using all that we have already. We would love to provide them with more materials and resources for them to learn and grow with. Sensory materials are the most overlooked resources and I love them because they help children to learn how to cope as well as expose them to so many more hands-on opportunities. We will use our sensory table to fill with different learning activities where the students can dig, scoop, pour, etc.
