The light tables and manipulatives will help students across the three Pre-K classes have a hands on experience in their lights and shadows learning unit. Students will be able to manipulate the use of light with different manipulatives. They will even see how different materials react to light by either changing color tone, texture, or possibly shape. Students will be able to create shadows and even learn how to make objects appear smaller and bigger by manipulating objects in the led light. These materials will help students learn fine motor skills by using the small manipulatives on a table top led light, social skills by discussing and sharing with peers, and critical thinking skills by discussing what is happening as they manipulate objects and light.
