Character education and communication skills lead to academic and life long achievement. My project is aimed to encourage conversations and teamwork between students in my classroom while engaging in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) activities. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. I chose Legos, Magna Tiles, K'nex, Gears, and Snap Circuits so that my students will engage in educational activities to support their learning. I also chose two organizational storage units. I want the activities to be easily accessible! The variety activities allow for collaboration, listening to others, working out conflicts, perseverance, community building, and are all STEAM based resources.
