We are requesting ten Kindle Fire Tablets that will help my students explore in the classroom what they may not be able to, outside the classroom. Our school is a Title I school so my students will greatly benefit from having Internet-enabled tablets in our Algebra 1 classroom. Having the ability to access resources available to them through the Internet will help expand knowledge and curiosity. I try to run a "Flipped Classroom" where kids are to watch videos either from Khan Academy or my own before our lessons or after to reinforce or review our objectives, but I often run into the obstacle of not having enough, or any internet-enabled devices. Having ten Kindle Fire devices will facilitate this goal. My kids will be able to keep up, review, and explore new concepts on their own with my guidance and our tablets!
