This unit exposes students to their five senses. This is very important for the severe-profound students because they must be aware of their body parts and senses that correspond with them. Having manipulatives makes the learning and teaching experience easier. We do lots of coloring when we are teaching new concepts and the jumbo crayons will be greatly appreciated. Anything and everything will be of great appreciation. The rugs will be used for the students to sit while learning and they can explore their five senses while interacting with their peers, away from their desk, in a different type of environment.
