Through the use of the aquaponics system students will have the opportunity to take care of fish while at the same time grow plants with the use of the fish. They will feed the fish and the waste of the fish will give the plants the nutrients they need to grow. We can then use the plants as a source of food for the students. The students will see first hand how the system works by how well the plants will grow. The students will help with the set up of the tank and placement of the plants, and then placing the fish in lastly.
