My students are a great group of kids, but struggle with basic instructional concepts. Students need to acquire specific foundational skills become effective readers. I chose several phonics related resources to improve phonological awareness, phonics and word recognition skills. Students thrive when able to learn through hands on experiences. As a class we use Dry Erase boards numerous times throughout the day to reinforce our thinking process and share with our peers. I am always running out of Dry Erase markers and erasers. Students love to recreate things they have learned through art, and the canvas projects we do are a big hit by students and parents alike.
