I am requesting various seating options for my classroom such as fabric stadium seats, floor cushions, stability balls, stools, saucer chairs, futons, a high table, and rugs to give my students an option of where to sit while learning in my classroom. Asking my students to sit still all day and be quiet would be the most unfair and unrealistic thing I could do. A lot of students like to stand, lie down, sit on the floor etc. while working and don't always benefit from or prefer sitting at a conventional desk/chair. I have purchased some lap desks and my students LOVE sitting on the carpet to work. I'm excited to hopefully add a lot more options this year to my classroom through the help of this project.
