Starting an instrument inventory at my school will allow students in lower income households to access band. The instruments funded through this project will belong to the school and be used for years to help my students join the band program that would otherwise be inaccessible to them. Students will have band lessons every week and be able to take instruments home to practice. Every student deserves the chance to learn an instrument regardless of family circumstance or socio-economic status. During the uncertainty of COVID-19, students need more opportunities to access the arts and find ways to be creative and emotive. Band is a powerful tool. Thank you for supporting my students' desire to learn an instrument, through free access to instruments at schools.
