Every morning our learners eagerly come into school because they know the first thing they get to do is put their imaginations to use and explore the STEM and fine motor activities we have in our morning bins. Both first-grade classes intermix for morning bins, share circle, and calendar time. This truly builds a positive community amongst our learners. Fostering learners to be creative, imaginative, and innovative is one of our goals in first grade. We are requesting a variety of STEM building materials. Using hands-on materials such as Magnetic Tiles, Legos, Keva Planks, and much more provide learners the opportunity to build upon their STEM skills, improve hand-eye coordination, communicate with others, and work as a team.
