IXL.com is an excellent tool for teaching math, especially for students who missed a lot of the fundamentals. I have used free trials to see first-hand the kind of focus and motivation students have on the program. The programs allows me to see where the students need to practice sub-skills before moving on or if there are problem areas so that I follow up with interventions. With IXL I am able to meet each student where they are so they can grow. Students get positive reinforcement for each correct answer and get explanations on each problem they answer incorrectly which prompts them to keep going and to learn from their mistakes!
