The mission of our school district is to prepare students for college and career. My kiddos are in junior high school. They are preparing for the next step in their educational career, which is high school. While my content area is science, I not only teach science content; I teach organization, note taking, and using resources available to you. A good number of my students need accommodations to make the curriculum more accessible. This includes guided practice and teacher modeling. A document camera would afford my students to see models and examples, making the curriculum more accessible. My students are visual learners and gain confidence from seeing that their products actually look how they should.
