Stability balls offer sensory breaks and the flexibility to learn while moving. I have introduced them to my classroom and my students love them - using them for their break time, their rewards, and a cool down. The stability balls alone don't accommodate the height of the tables or provide back support, which is why I am interested in these chairs. I plan to remove the wheels, ensuring my students will stay focused on their work. Studies have shown that children with autism show improvement in attention, posture, communication, and social skills while sitting on therapy balls. By providing these chairs to my students, they will be able to practice making choices to best support their learning. These chairs will improve their academic, communication, and social skills.
