Our high school is organized into small learning communities, each designed around general career interests. My students belong to the Mosaic SLC, an academy of creative and artistic students who desire to endeavor toward a variety of different artistic professions. Our job is to help students realize their career dreams of becoming a professional artist, graphic designer, web designer, art teacher, etc. Most students come from low income families, and most will be the first generation in their family to attend college. Funding this project will not only encourage young artists to follow their dreams of becoming a professional, but will help change the cycle of poverty by encouraging a path toward college!
