Please help us upgrade our sensory room to provide all students in our Structured Learning class with the opportunity to grow and explore while stimulating their senses. A sensory room gives students a safe place to calm down and relax while working to achieve their specific goals. A well-equipped sensory room not only gives students a safe place to reduce anxiety, but we can also use items such as kinetic sand to improve fine motor skills. A sand table will be used for many years. Not only can we use it for sand, but it can also be filled with packing foam, ball pit balls, rice, deer corn, and water beads...the uses are endless! Bubble lamps and liquid floor tiles create a colorful mesmerizing experience. The soothing bubbles calm kids right down after a long day of learning. Kids love the liquid floor tiles beneath their fingers and toes to watch how the liquids react and swirl around.
