My students will use these Chromebooks for differential learning at their own pace. Chromebooks are an affordable and portable computer that provides many wonderful educational apps and programs. For example, Accelerated Reader is an app that allows students to track their understanding of a book after having read it, and get immediate feedback. Students are excited and motivated to read more as they watch their progress. An application such as this allows teachers to easily monitor and manage students' independent reading practice. ST Math is game-based instructional software that is designed to boost math comprehension and proficiency through visual learning. It promotes mastery-based learning and mathematical understanding. Many of my students are English Language Learners and use English Language programs to acquire vocabulary and conversational skills. These new Chromebooks will ensure that every student in my larger class will be able to participate daily. There are so many plans and endless uses for these Chromebooks! The computer mice are for the two new Chromebooks and desperately needed to keep our current technology moving!
