I am requesting books to add to my classroom library. These materials will make a big difference in my students' learning. Students in my 7th grade classes currently have access to an outdated U.S. History textbook and my 8th grade classes have access to no World Geography textbook. I have received funding that has started my classroom library geared towards my students specifically, but am in need of expanding this library. This project will immensely expand my social studies classroom library, including creating a wide selection for my Spanish speaking students. Books selected cover a wide range of topics for U.S. History and World Geography. The books selected will be used to supplement the learning taking place in my classroom by giving my students something tangible to hold onto and read.
