On the trip to China, students will travel to Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai. They will participate in tourist activities (such as visiting the Great Wall of China and Tiananmen Square) and some cultural immersion activities, such as visiting a local Chinese school and enjoying the opportunity to share a traditional meal with Hutong families. Our students will have multiple opportunities to speak in Chinese and deepen their understanding of both Chinese culture and history. Our students have studied Chinese for two to three years; the opportunity to travel for nine days in China will both solidify their language understanding as well as enhance their cultural understanding.
