My little learners are beginning to read! It is amazing to watch their eyes light up when they read solo and know that they are "readers". One thing I have come to understand is that we all learn best when we are having fun. I would like to assemble a small group game cart with simple word games like Bananagrams, POP words and some leveled books that will excite and encourage my little readers. With my reading intervention cart we will be able to easily take our games anywhere. We currently like to have sight word game day in a quiet corner of a classroom, out into the hall, or even outside at the picnic tables, playground or field on nice days.
