My students are creators, learners and active participants in our local community. Education is the most influential factor in a persons life, that determine their ability to become active members in society. As educators, we need to not only build the academics of a student, but build and create a new lens for our students to evaluate and engage in our community. The ability to see the world through the camera, will enable the fundamental skills for my students. The camera will allow me to engage in 20-25 students for two days a week, after school for an hour. We will discuss still images, lighting and angles, as well as how to edit images (i.e. Photoshop) and potentially, visit local galleries.
