Hand 2 Mind Math Fluency kit would be ssssssoooo incredibly helpful for the students I serve. They lack the skills needed to keep up with their same age peers in math and therefore stop thinking of themselves as mathematicians. I have found in my 9 years of working with the most fragile students that the single factor that stops success is the fact that they don't know their facts fluently. Counting on fingers to solve addition and subtraction problems after 1st grade is a red flag. Because of the growing expectations placed on all our learners, fact fluency often becomes the job of a computer application. Students need hands-on intentional instruction on mastering their facts. Truly, I believe that Hand 2 Mind Math Fluency Kit is just what I am looking for to help students become proficient and start thinking of and believing in themselves as mathematicians!
