Retelling stories while performing them is a magnificent way to enhance our reading experiences. We are devoting an entire corner of our room to a performance area. We will have a ticket window. A cash register is needed for "purchasing" tickets. I have the furniture needed to be the ticket window and to hold buckets that will hold the props. I also have the seating and the red curtains. The majority of items needed are the props for performances. Masks of animals and characters from familiar stories will need to be purchased. There are several Readers Theaters packets that have scripts and masks that will be purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers. I am also asking for dress up clothes for "original stories" that my kids can create.
