The basic supplies (paper, white boards, pencils) etc. are so that we can actually use the curriculum DPS adopted Wobbly chairs are for students who have a hard time focusing and sitting still. I've found that often having something to fidget with helps students focus, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to. Wobbly chairs are good solution. The books on tape are so that students can engage in the listening center. Listening to someone read fluently is key to their own reading fluency and will help instill a love of reading. The classroom games are for indoor recess things that will help build community. Bookbags are so students can have books to take home from our classroom library that are on their reading level.
