As our students' language proficiency levels are greatly varied, I use many differentiated strategies including guided reading groups, shared writing groups, literacy centers, etc. Instead of a traditional classroom setting, these strategies require alternative seating options. Alternative seating helps our students stay focused and engaged throughout learning. It allows them to choose where to work, whom to work with and how to work. With a comfortable learning environment, they are able to become more concentrated and more productive. The Surf Portable Lap Desks will support our students to have a proper writing position in shared writing groups. The Go Anywhere Chairs will create cozy reading spots for our guided reading groups. The Relax-N-Read Bean Bag will become a peaceful corner for our students to reflect on their own learning. Alternative seating will transform our students' learning experience, and your donation will make it happen!
