My students have a wide range of reading levels and interests. They are still learning to read and are often left with books that are phonics readers and other books for younger children that don't match their interests. My reluctant readers need books at their fingertips that grab and keep their attention. My students are becoming more and more motivated to read and my classroom library has been growing to reflect their needs and interests. I like to provide new and exciting books to keep their motivation alive. They are allowed to check out the books and take them home to read with their parents and share the excitement and newly found love of reading! Students crave and need high interest books at their reading level to keep them on the path of lifelong readers. Please help my students in grades 3-6 get a variety of books in their hands.
