Learning centers help young students learn more effectively in a play based environment. Our school wide theme is "A rainbow of possibilities." Themes help make the education experience more exciting. The rainbow area rug will give our reading center a more thematic and fun feel. The rainbow rug will also make this center more homey. We all know, when a child feels comfortable and safe, learning can take place more easily. Although I am asking for this rug to use in my reading center, it can easily be used in many other ways for example, a color game for color recognition.
