For the most part, my students work hard and want to be successful in school; however, some days it can be difficult just to attend school, not to mention being on time, focusing and completing homework! I want to purchase classic board games and manipulative puzzles such as Life, Monopoly, UNO, Scrabble, Rubik's Cube, Mastermind and Payday to not only ensure a fun free time, but to also reinforce critical thinking, fair play and social and communication skills. The board games and puzzles will offer motivation to my students to be on time, focus during class and complete homework and classwork so they can join in the earned fun free time activities! The current supply of classroom games, brought in from musty basements or bought at tag sales are in very poor shape after many hours of play. My students deserve better! Please help me to encourage them to do what they need to do to be successful students!
