Safely and accurately measuring liquids is an important task in a chemistry laboratory. Currently, our lab has an inadequate supply of old cylinders that are hard to read and difficult for students to use. At present, we do not have enough cylinders for each lab group to have one so students often have to share between groups or work in larger groups during lab. These requested 100 mL, 250 mL and 500 mL graduated cylinders will allow my students to do more hands on activities and labs. The cylinders I have selected are highly rated for clarity and chemical resistance which will allow students to safely and accurately measure solutions in the chemistry laboratory. New and larger cylinders will also allow us to perform experiments where we collect gases such as carbon dioxide, which we currently lack the supplies to do.
