I am hoping to give my students STEM building materials to use in an every day center which promotes learning through creative building! So much learning takes place when students are allowed to build with quality hands on materials.
Students hand/eye coordination, spatial reasoning skills, and geometry skills are challenged and developed in a playful way through STEM building materials! Their confidence shines when they create something unique to their own personality. My students love sharing what they build which also increases social development and communication skills!
The materials I am requesting are from Lakeshore Learning Center. A Geoboard Design Center, An Architectural Design Block Center, and a Drill Set with Pegs are just a few examples of materials I have carefully chosen. Many of these materials come with instruction design cards to help my kindergarteners follow a plan. I have requested a classroom laminator along with materials so I can laminate instruction cards for extra durability. These instruction cards help my students to follow step by step directions which is also another developmental skill for my little ones! I get so excited when I see how much my students are learning through STEM building centers! Can you help us out?
