My students are a group of very high functioning students in an Honors English Class and I have the English Language Learners. Our school has a diverse group of students. We have both Spanish and Mandarin immersion programs at our campus. We are based in California and we are in the confluence of various cultures and ethnicities. The unity I see in the diversity of my classes is contagious and thus I design the projects for them to take their as far as they can. The equipment and the books I choose will navigate their comprehension and belief systems in an absolutely new direction. They will know the importance of language acquisition and history from the protagonist's perspective but they will connect their knowledge to their immediate community. Therefore, we are ready to launch our venture.
