Technology in the hands of students immediately increases the level of engagement! In my classroom, I work extremely hard to create an environment where my students with can use technology to enhance their learning potential. With an iPad, I could create material for them on the iPad and they could view the lesson on specific skills at home and come into class fully prepared to work on those skills. An iPad and Apple pencil will allow my students to show their understanding of skills by creating their own video tutorials which, through the use of the iPad, can be shared with the entire class or just myself, with a click of a button. This iPad will also allow my students to be a part of the learning community in my class. She will also be able to access the curriculum in a learning style that allows her to be successful!
