My students deserve to read books that aren't falling apart in their hands. They will be enriched by the novel and be able to connect the themes to our curriculum. "Native Son" by Richard Wright is an example of African American Literature that teaches students about important themes and covers many literary standards. I tie the novel into "Module 3: Racial Profiling" in our ERWC text. Students connect the novel to more recent editorials in their writing and analysis of race in America. The books will be used for many years to come (like the 1988 copies we are using now)! Please consider donating to our class set of Novels. Your generosity is appreciated.
