My students need a welcoming and comfortable environment to learn in. On the floor in front of the board is where we do a lot of our whole group time and it is very important for them to get this time. This is where they are able to open up about their daily lives and to learn the fundamentals of school. This rug will help my students have an organized and positive way to learn. The rug does have fun animal alphabet squares for them to sit on to help keep them in their own space. Not only will this help me keep them focused on what we are doing, but it will help them to understand and comprehend the lesson more. We end our day with a Tooty Ta Ta song and having a rug will only add to that cheerful experience.
