Everything I have ordered is for my music classes. My school has very little equipment for my students to use, especially my drummers. I could have written up a project that asked for trumpets, flutes, clarinets, etc., but I feel that sticks for drums will be used by more students. The drum sticks, bass mallets and other accessories will allow a large number of my students to play more instruments. My students will use the sticks and mallets to play snare drums, bass drum, drum set, cymbals, and other percussion instruments. We will use these sticks and mallets in Drum Class, Concert Band, Beginning Band, and after school in the drum line. The Workout Drum Pad will be used for in-class practice and for students to take home and practice. The Bass Drum Head, Sound Impact Strips and the Cymbal Straps will all be used to repair broken equipment so that it can be used with the drum sticks and mallets. We have a drum set ready to be used but it needs a Drum Throne for proper posture and playing technique. Using this new equipment and being able to practice the drums will allow my students to perform at concerts, go to festivals and be heard around campus. Right now we do not have enough sticks or mallets to play all of our drums. Right now I don't have enough sticks or mallets for my students to practice in class or go home and practice. Everything on this project will change that for my students.
