Teachers are always trying to incorporate reading more and more into our classrooms to help students read, learn, and understand better. In music class, this is no different! Every student in the classroom will get a castanet to play beats, rhythms, and syllables with as a book is been read! They will make connections to reading better by incorporating the fun beats and music into literature. They can copy after me and my rhythms as I read, or create their own! Not only is this helpful in the classroom, but the students will take this technique with them and use it in the classroom and at home! The more reading techniques our students have in their pockets, the better and brighter their future will be!
