My students are well deserving students living in SE Washington DC. Many people overlook our high school due to its location. Yes, our high school is located in a high needs and poverty neighborhood; but that does not mean our students do not deserve the same equitable, meaningful learning experience as all students in DCPS. Please help give my students the specimens and tools we need to have engaging dissection labs throughout the year. They are our future leaders, scientists, and medical professionals. We need sheep brains, sheep eyeballs, and dissections tools (such as scalpels). These dissection labs differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, especially the students of learning or reading disabilities. Tactile, tangible teaching improves scientific literacy as students see and feel the experiment. Please help me and students become the best future leaders, scientists, and medical professionals ever seen.
