My classroom is a multi-grade special education classroom. I have students in grade K-4th with a variety of skill levels and needs. Having an iPad in the classroom will allow my students to access multi leveled activities to support their learning. My students, as do many other students their age, love to use technology. They would use this iPad to work on handwriting, spelling, math, reading, and social emotional skills. My students are amazing! They work hard every day! Having the calendar center for our classroom would be a great visual and a wonderful hands-on activity. My students need a great deal of repetition when learning skills. Many of them struggle with learning the days of the week and months of the year, as well as counting by 1s, 2s, and 5s. Both of these resources would make a difference in my classroom. My students deserve to have all the resources to help them. I am just trying to be a small part of that.
