I have many students who require a lot of additional support in my classroom. Providing alternative seating and methods will assist them in their goal of success. Using alternative seating in my classroom like wobble cushions and bouncy bands stimulates a learner and gives the child an opportunity to desensitize and focus on the academic or social/emotional task at hand. Ideally, all children will be participating members of the school population and in the classroom Monday-Friday, and with these additional tools I will be able to provide an efficient and effective form of instruction for all learners! Using these materials and the listening center in my classroom will allow for individualized instruction and centers and make for a setting in which current and future students will thrive.
