This incredible program is new and unique to my building. My students spend a majority of the time that they are in school in our classroom and deserve a space where they can access their lessons in a warm and comfortable environment. We are teaching these kids how to function within a school environment, which can be especially challenging. The ball chairs requested will provide my students with necessary sensory input while attempting to focus on more difficult academic topics. Special education classrooms deserve the same level of care and respect as their general education counterparts. This room is designed not only to be a classroom but a space where they can feel relaxed and supported. The materials requested will provide my students with a space to decompress after a hard lesson or when they are feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, they will provide me with the necessary tools to create an engaging space for my kids to focus on creating a vision for their future.
