Organization and ability to take good notes is one of the most effective learning strategies for all students in all subject areas. I want to show my students different methods of taking notes such as outlining, Cornell notes, charting and graphing to organize the information given during math class. I also want to teach my students how to organize their notes, handouts, homework assignments and assessments. Unfortunately, not all of my students have access to essential note-taking supplies. Notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, erasers, and highlighters are some of the materials that will allow all of my students to fully participate in this activity.
