These novels will help foster a love of reading for my students. Many of my students do not have books of their own at home and especially ones that they can read without the assistance of the teacher. The students strive to do well but do not have the resources to do so. By having these books in the classroom, students can be broken down by reading levels to participate in literature circles. They will feel success knowing that they understand what they read and can talk about it to their peers as well as their teacher. Each of these books have a common theme and one that can be discussed and promoted within the classroom.
