Students will be able to complete several hands-on experiments to better understand climate and weather with the climate and weather kits. The weather station will allow students to monitor the daily weather in our area. As we work on our weather unit, students will be able to incorporate STEM skills and learn meteorology in a hands-on way. Students will be able to build their own barometers, set up a rain gauge and track temperature. Some other phenomena students will be able to explore are: air currents, heat reservoirs and local and global winds.
