The books that I am requesting will help me impact each one of my students. I have implemented "classroom book a day" which is simply reading pictures books every day. These books have become an integral part of our day and my instruction. We refer to these books throughout the year, so they continue to make an impact as the year goes on. My classroom is print-rich, diverse and inviting, and by adding these books, I can continue to reach each child in my room. The discussions and learning that takes place after reading a book is thought provoking and inspirational. My fifth graders have amazing ideas and these books give us the platform to put many into action.
