A horseshoe table will change the way my students learn. We are a flexible seating classroom, and we believe that the horseshoe table will help contribute to that. Our students will be able to choose the type of seating and placement that works best for them. My students have various needs, and this table will help us meet them. For my students with physical disabilities, this table will support them so that they do not have to sit and write on the floor, which makes content harder to access. For our students with intellectual disabilities, the table encourages my students to stay focused rather than getting distracted by the stimuli and discomfort of sitting on the tile floor. We believe that our students can be even more successful than they already are, and this is one of the ways we can cultivate that. Please help support our New York City classroom and these incredible 2nd graders!
