With flexible seating options my students will be able to better focus during English Language Arts. Flexible seating will empower the students to take ownership over their classroom environment. Students will be able to choose, if they would like, to sit on a balance ball, wobble seat, or stool while working in centers or independent work. Currently, my students are limited to either sitting on a hard plastic chair or on the floor. Flexible seating will allow the students to feel more comfortable, while reading and writing. Giving the students the freedom and flexibility to choose their seat will motivate and engage them to work harder. Allowing students an outlet for their energy will support their learning. This will create a more student centered classroom.
